Marcie Berson Joins Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation Board of Directors
The Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation is pleased to announce that Marcie Berson, Beta Chapter at Tufts University, has joined the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation Board as a director.
"Marcie brings over 20 years of experience volunteering for the Fraternity to the Foundation board. Her first-hand experience and understanding of today's collegians is vital to the Foundation's work in supporting our sisters of today and stewarding the next generation of donors," said Vanessa Freeman Zerhusen, Foundation President. "Marcie has been a long-time supporter of the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation and I'm excited to have her lend her talents and expertise to help further our philanthropic goals and the mission laid out by our Founders' a century ago."
Marcie is a long-time volunteer of Phi Sigma Sigma and has served in a number of volunteer roles including serving as a chapter key advisor, member of the Alumnae Engagement Committee, member of the NPC Delegation and on a number of other committees and task forces. She is also the sponsor of the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation's Marcie Sabrin Berson Service Scholarship, which was introduced in 2021.
Professionally, Marcie is the Chief Operating Officer of and Co-Owner, with her husband, Yury, of Yellow Box Company, an e-commerce company specializing in shelf-stable beverages and foods. She is responsible for all of the human resources and financial operations of the company, including benefits, purchasing, vendor management and financial reporting. Marcie lives in Fairfield, Connecticut with her husband, Yury, and son, Alexy.
The Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation is proud to fund leadership programming, offer scholarships and educational grants, and provide resources for philanthropic and service-oriented events directly benefitting our collegiate and alumnae sisters, as well as the world around us. The Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation’s philanthropic cause is School and College Readiness. Our members support their local Title I school partners through a variety of initiatives designed to meet the specific needs of each community.
