Epsilon Alpha Chapter at Illinois State University Donates $15,000 to Build an Outdoor Classroom
Phi Sigma Sigma is proud to share that the Epsilon Alpha Chapter at Illinois State University donated $15,000 to Unit 5 Educational Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting McLean County Unit District No. 5 educators and students, providing enhanced educational opportunities for students at all levels. Made possible through the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation’s Community Impact Fund, the generous donation will go towards an outdoor classroom at Oakdale Elementary School in Unit 5.
Outdoor classrooms provide a unique and engaging learning environment for students of all ages. These spaces allow for hands-on learning experiences, promote creativity and collaboration, and foster a deeper connection to nature. The new outdoor classroom will provide students with a valuable resource for years to come.
“We are incredibly proud of our Epsilon Alpha Chapter and their fundraising efforts in support of their local partner school,” said Grand Archon Tess Stovall. “Phi Sigma Sigma is committed to giving back to the communities we serve, and we believe that investing in education is one of the most impactful ways to make a difference.”
The Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation is proud to support the philanthropic cause of “school and college readiness.” Through the Community Impact Fund, chapters can consolidate fundraising efforts and make a direct and substantial impact in their local community.
