2023-2024 Jeanine Jacobs Goldberg Archon of the Year Finalists
Jeanine Jacobs Goldberg Archon of the Year Award is presented to the collegiate chapter archon deemed by the grand archon to be the most outstanding based on her contributions to the chapter and her relationship with the Fraternity. She shall have successfully completed one full term as archon.

Alexis is a remarkable woman whose dedication and work ethic are truly unparalleled. Throughout her term as archon, Alexis demonstrated an unwavering commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that no one felt left out. Her pride, loyalty and embodiment of Phi Sigma Sigma’s core values make her a perfect reflection of the ideals we hold dear. Beyond her achievements, Alexis selflessly guided and prepared others for leadership roles, exemplified by her role in mentoring and easing the transition into the position of archon. Her ability to effortlessly navigate challenges and provide invaluable support highlights her exceptional leadership qualities. Alexis’ impact extends far beyond herself, leaving an unforgettable mark on her chapter.
Lexie McAllister, Iota Chi Chapter at James Madison University
Lexie was an exemplary archon during the 2023 term. She was an innovative leader, always looking for new ways to push the chapter to the next level. She was very organized and did an excellent job at guiding the executive board to be the same. She was a great partner to Headquarters and her chapter key advisor, maintained consistent communication and frequently reached out for guidance on how to improve the chapter’s practices. Lexie understood what she needed to do as archon and was determined to complete her duties to the best of her ability while at the same time being incredibly kind and empathetic to the chapter’s members. Under her leadership the chapter was able to thrive.
Rachel Seganti, Theta Xi Chapter at Nova Southwestern University
During her term as archon, Rachel helped drive the chapter's success. From the beginning, she prioritized sisterhood within the chapter and brought the chapter together as a cohesive unit. She also placed an emphasis on philanthropy and pushed the chapter to realize their full philanthropic potential. In the fall of her term, she successfully petitioned the university for a large amount of funds to help take their annual Breast Cancer Awareness dinner to a new level. Whenever faced with a challenge, Rachel always acted swiftly to address it in the appropriate manner. She was sure to keep Headquarters and university staff members in the loop and was always thorough in her communications. Throughout her term, Rachel was open to feedback and created a culture where sisters felt comfortable coming forward with their ideas and concerns. Her openness to the sisters in her chapter made them feel welcome, which resulted in an increase in attendance and involvement. Rachel’s term as archon helped strengthen the chapter’s relationship with university staff and other organizations on campus. She is an incredibly hardworking individual who led her chapter with empathy and grace.
Meaghan Woods, Epsilon Theta Chapter at Montclair State University
During a period of great turmoil for the Epsilon Theta Chapter, Meaghan stepped in as archon and helped pave the way for the chapter to be in the great position it is in today. Meaghan navigated the difficult chapter situation with the sensitivity and maturity it required. Her leadership allowed sisters to speak up and share their thoughts and feelings openly. She was able to turn the chapter into a safe space for her sisters. Meaghan served a second term as archon and continued to push the chapter to new heights. She navigated the tragic passing of their sister, Breanna Pifano, working with Headquarters and the chapter advisors to provide the chapter with resources and space to grieve. Additionally, she helped to ensure that the chapter honored Breanna’s families wishes in commemorating her. In collaboration with her executive board, Meaghan helped shape the chapter into the thriving community it is now.
