Phi Sigma Sigma

2020 Safety Statement

As women of substance, character and influence we recognize our responsibility to uphold the values and standards set forth by our host universities and foster a community of care on our campuses.  Phi Sigma Sigma spent several months working with industry experts to create modified housing plans in accordance with state/province, local health and/or public health department and university directives and recommendations. In an effort to minimize risk, we have taken a number of precautions including de-densifying facilities, stocking houses with disinfectant and safety supplies, installing hand sanitizer stations at all entrances and in high-traffic areas, installing new toilet seats with lids in all bathrooms, implementing a modified move-in schedule to enforce social distancing and closing the facilities to non-residents. As our sisters return to campuses across the country, our residents continue to receive individualized support from Phi Sigma Sigma staff, led by National Housing Corporation Treasurer and past International President Sandy Grossman. In the case of positive test results or suspected exposure, we have implemented isolation and quarantine procedures that follow guidance from industry experts and local and state health departments. The health, safety and wellbeing of our members and our community remains our top priority.
